The Wee Kids Foundation is a body associated for the principal purpose of promoting the treatment, prevention and control of urological diseases in children. The particular purposes of the Association are: - participating in medical research into the causes, prevention and treatment of paediatric urology through the provision of funding and through the dissemination of research findings to the medical profession, parents, carers and medical service providers;
- providing information to parents about issues associated with bladder and kidney problems faced by children including, but not limited to, the causes of urological diseases in children, symptoms of those diseases, treatment options and the availability of other support;
- providing state of the art paediatric medical equipment to hospitals to assist in the treatment and management of urological diseases in children;
- educating the medical profession to increase awareness of urological diseases in children and methods of treating, controlling or preventing such diseases;
- providing broad-based support to children suffering from urological diseases and their families including but not limited to any activity which enhances the support and quality of life for children suffering from urological diseases;
- carrying out fundraising activities to increase community awareness of paediatric urology, including its symptoms and the difficulties its sufferers experience.
